Mission

To be the center of excellence for executive development

AAT Business School is a Strategic Business Unit (SBU) operating under the Association of Accounting Technicians of Sri Lanka, committed towards enhancing competencies and recognition of those seeking individual development.

In response to the technological boom and its impact on the corporate world, several IT based programmes were initiated by AAT Sri Lanka in 1994.

Over the years, we further diversified to offer courses in Microsoft Applications and Computerized Accounting Packages, as well as the addition of the course in Taxation and the Professional Skills Enhancement Programme.

Moving into the 21st century, the need for establishing an entity dedicated towards enhancing the professional acumen and setting up a career pathway for those pursuing the AAT Qualification was identified at the AAT Sri Lanka Strategic Planning Session held in July 2012. Resultantly the AAT Business School was officially inaugurated on the 22nd of January 2014 by Mr. Warren Allen, the President of The International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) (2012-14). As at now, over 5,000 students have passed through our gates, together embarking on a journey towards professional excellence.

Warren Allen, President of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) stated that it’s a unique experience where AAT Sri Lanka has taken a step to groom its technicians and graduate them within, by a Business School. He further said that he is closely observing the developments of AAT Sri Lanka Business School so that other AAT bodies such as AAT UK, Australia, and Hong Kong could follow if the concept succeeds.

Today, the AAT Business School, a strategic business unit operating under the Association of Accounting Technicians of Sri Lanka, with the goal of broadening the career pathway of AAT Students, Passed Finalists, Members and other professionals, is committed towards enhancing competencies and recognition of those seeking individual development. Resultantly, a number of unique programmes aimed at developing skills particularly in Management, Information Technology and Communication, have been initiated and successfully carried out over the years. The courses designed and conducted by experts in the respective fields, currently attract those from Government, Private and other corporate sectors.
